What gets me is this one woman getting attention, but yet so much more in this world happens evert second that is much worse! I hate the media, it gets a story and blows it up but yet misses all the other millions of stories that matter even more so.(Ellian Gonzales!)
simmer down mike, unless im mistaken not just sxe people like to use sharpees....
and ThatNCSUguy, I definitely agree with you on that, but the unfortunate thing, is there are so many atrocities happening all the time, that it is impossible to aid in all.
I only posted this because we have EASY access to help this woman keep her skull... we actually CAN help...
Sorry for posting this, didn't know it was going to get such a negative reaction.
i am actually amazed at the amount of people complaining over this, yes there are millions of other horible things hapening, but the media gave this one attention, so help her, don't put her down for being more famous than the next harased person on this earth, she didn't chose to be famous, she just was....and as for the people ragging on him for putting this here, open your eyes.

i'm not ragging on hime for putting it up...i applaud him. i probably wouldn't have taken the time to do it. he's better than me for that. but i am just saying that you should seperate this kind of thing from any kind of issue you have with straight edge (or anything else that is so irrelevant for that matter).
if the sharpie comment was not about kids "x-ing up" then please tell me what it was about. i would like to know so i won't be irritated. i'm the kind of guy who likes to like people.
by saving this one woman it will possibly set a precedent to avoid similars rulings against women in nigeria in the future. that is the importance of the media in this one(1) instance. also-i hate the media for the most part, but think about it this way: with the media the ppls stories are possibly getting help, without the story neither they nor the ppl who arent receiving exposure would be getting help. so ya know...not such a bad thing. but i hate the media for stirring up so much patriotism for this bullshit ass war on iraq. im sick of the government exchanging blood for oil.
wow, for a second there i thought everyone was going to fly to nigeria and throw rocks at this girl themselves, but then the true meanings came out and i am impressed with the mis-one culture....lets hope more people can think like that

wait, we are not going to Nigeria anymore?! Damn you guys, you never tell me anything anymore! (that was a stupid joke towards nobody but myself for saying it!!)
now that i think about it though...i am split on this one. while it is horrible that they will stone this girl...that is their culture. more than likely that has been the punishment for centuries. USA police the globe....
you know the worst part is, that ncstate guy is right. if the whole stoning went down, someone would video tape it and it would be on the internet for years.....its horible, and i will admit i occasionally download a video of snowboard falls, or bike mishapps, but theres a point when it goes to far, and you have to ask your self which is more inhumane, the men throwing the rocks, or the men watching it.

i must hand it to real TV for not showing clips where people died. They stick to the ones where the person should have died but didn't. Sometimes you need a reminder of how fragile life is, but sometimes real tv just makes me mad
