Under Fire: Rolling Stone Claimed 25% of Gay Men Desire HIV
Rolling Stone is getting heat for publishing a story which quotes Dr. Bob Cabaj, the head of BH services in San Francisco County, as saying 25% of gay men work to get infected with HIV or are in denial about doing so.
Dr. Cabaj says they made that quote up. Rolling Stone also quoted Dr. Marshall Forstein as saying "bug chasers are seen regularly in the Fenway health system, and the phenomenon is growing." He also states the quote was made up.
Mental health specialists appear to agree that a small minority of gay men is seeking HIV infection. However, most see this Rolling Stone article as an overstatement full of fabricated quotes. Rolling Stone stands by its story.

ha i want HIV.. so ill be gay, i have a hard time with that one..
ha i want mono so i start a kissing booth.. now that makes since
Mike, crazyness! Yesterday my bud Sarah wanted me to give her Mono so she could go home form NCSU, and not be stressed. So there is a situational reason why someone might want a disease!
actually, i read that arcticle and almost vommited. it makes me sick, and the worst part is that some of the guys, get it, and then feel really horible after wards for doing it......they use slang and stuff, like when you give someone aids, you are giving them a present and stuff. its sick.
