yeah i saw it yesterday. it was pretty much the first 2 and a half hour movie that i wanted to continue longer. i couldn't get enough of the joker. if heath ledger were still alive, this performance would have skyrocketed him up to most likely the most popular actor alive. he was absolutely insanely wonderful. and i was SO pleased with how they made two-face look.
god, i really wanna see this about 50 times while it's in the theater.
Man I loved that movie. The Joker was so so so good. I'm going to go see it again. Good lord do I love good acting. Only thing I recognized on Ledger was his walk and that was for like a second. Fucking beautiful.
did the crowd react and cheer when certain things happened in your shows? I can't really see them not but that might be because i was in the super-secret-pre-showing-imax-thing and people got dressed up and were goin buck wild.
And i recommend seeing it on an imax screen. apparently certain shots were done by the director specifically for the imax. And everyone's face was huge
i'm SO glad no one was cheering in the theater. as much as i wanted to at certain parts (truck overturning, bad ass motorcycle move, etc.) i contained myself because it just takes you completely out of the movie when people do that kinda stuff.
and yeah about the imax thing, i saw gary oldman on conan and he was talking about how the imax video cameras come with booklets on how to film and act, haha. like you can't have really strong movements or anything like that. he said if you arch your eyebrow too much, it'll just look like a giant eyebrow rollercoaster, haha. i'd see it on imax if there was one in charlotte.
right. i HEARD it wasnt bad if you sit in the very back which was the only reason I suggested it. Otherwise yea there isnt a real one :/ (Ive heard Concord Mills is trying to get one)
well i mean...it IS a batman movie so it's kind of obvious that batman's going to be in most of the movie which is why i think the joker is being talked about more. not to mention he was just so fucking awesome.
i am still so surprised that before the Dark Knight beat it, Spiderman 3 had the weekend box office record and the biggest opening weekend record. that movie blew.
but it still doesn't make as much sense as the previous midnight showing record being Star Wars Episode III. At least with spiderman, the previous ones were good. episode I and II were pretty shitty and not very good motivation to see the third one at all.
EP III has history though. I think most Star Wars geeks were looking forward to EP III the most out of any of the first 3 before they even started. I know that was the one I wanted to see as soon as they announced they were doing the new trilogy.
too bad he did a terrible job with them :/ Spiderman 3 sucked hardcore though too.
christian bale's "sinister" voice kind of annoyed me at times. It was a little much. And on that note, how do you guys feel about him being a woman beater? Personally, it made me enjoy the movie that much more.
ha yeah that voice annoyed me a bit too but whatever. and he never BEAT his mother and his sister. just verbally abused him (and that's just going on what they said).
