    jerry is a really nice guy and it is great what he did (giving people a place to skate and see shows etc)
    but honestly it was very clear the business under his management would not make it in the long run.
    yes, i know it was around for a few years, but how many benefit shows bailed him out over those years?
    i am suprised there was no benefit show to prevent this

    KPD i BELIEVE banned him from playing shows.
    as in, if he had one show, and they showed up, hed get fined and if he didnt shut it down hed go to jail.

    point is, one benefit show was booked, some people showed up, and he needed several thousand dollars to catch up on rent. he was way short and had to shut it down.

    the city of kernersville had been after creations for awhile, i believe. over the last 2 years there have been problems with fighting, drinking, etc. in the parking lot and area aroudn creations, from kids who never step foot inside. it fucking sucks that some shithead kids had to give creations a bad name to the city of kernersville, and it sucks that creations has to shut down.

    really, business ethics aside jerry definitely was an awesome dude who contributed alot to nc music scene by giving bands a place to play, and was awesome to kids by giving them a cheap place to skate.

    no, 'seeing it coming for years' refers to the multiple 'jerry is in trouble, we gotta do a benefit show for him' or 'jerry has to close cause he cant afford it unless we do a benefit show' etc etc etc etc we've seen the threads here, the myspace bulletins etc etc etc
    there wouldve been another had it been legal for him to do one and everyone on here knows it well

    again, i think hes a very nice guy, but hes a crappy business man and thats what it comes down to in the end

    I don't think employers discriminate against broken legs when they're looking for people.. By no means am I trying to make fun of jerry for having to shut creations down, I'm just saying that it's not a real big shocker, and shouldn't be to anyone. Shit happens, get over it.
